Built by people who've lived the problem.

We spent decades in enterprise SaaS sales, in San Jose, Melbourne, and everywhere in between, watching great reps lose deals to admin. So we built the tool we always wished we had.

    Our Story

    Why We're Building Kondakta

    The name

Kondakta comes from the Swahili word for Conductor.

Because great sales execution isn't about doing more — it's about making sure everything happens in the right order, at the right time, without the rep having to carry it all. That belief is the spine of everything we build.

The problem hiding in plain sight

Sales reps spend more than 70% of their time on work that has nothing to do with selling — most of it feeding tools that were never designed with the rep in mind.

    Three calls, same frustration

Kondakta's story started in San Jose, California, when two founders — completely independently of one another — reached out to Tim with the exact same frustration.

Karim was calling from Melbourne. Andrew was calling from Tennessee.

Different companies. Different continents. Same problem.

    CRMs stopped serving the rep

CRM systems had stopped being tools for sales reps. Over time, they had evolved into systems for managers — built around reporting, forecasting, pipeline visibility, compliance, and oversight. RevOps platforms and conversation intelligence tools followed the same path.

But the operational burden sat entirely on the rep.

The people meant to be building relationships, progressing pipeline, and closing deals were instead spending hours every week updating fields, logging activities, reviewing transcripts, chasing notes, and manually coordinating follow-ups.

And these weren't junior employees. These were some of the most expensive and valuable people inside an organization being pulled away from the exact job they were hired to do.

What struck Tim wasn't just the frustration — it was how identical the problem sounded from opposite sides of the world.

    Twenty conversations, one pattern

    So the team dug deeper.

Over the following months, Tim, Karim, Andrew, and Dave spoke with account executives across AWS, Salesforce, Confluent, Couchbase, Samsung, OpenText, and other global technology companies. Across three continents and more than 20 direct conversations, the feedback was remarkably consistent: modern sales teams weren't struggling because they lacked data or tooling — they were struggling because execution had become fragmented.

Actions were scattered. Follow-ups were missed. Momentum disappeared between meetings. Deals quietly stalled.

    The $700 billion problem

The team started pulling the numbers.

Global sales spend now exceeds $1 trillion annually. LinkedIn reports that account executives spend just 28% of their time actually selling — meaning more than $700 billion is spent every year on non-selling activities.

That became the foundation for Kondakta.

    What we built instead

Instead of building another reporting layer, the team focused on a different question: how do you help reps execute and keep deal flow moving?

DealBoard and Activity Flow Kanban were built around that idea. The platform gives account executives a clear, execution-focused view of every deal, surfaces the actions and activities needed to move deals forward, assigns ownership, and ensures follow-through actually happens.

Together with Konductors — Kondakta's AI agents that coordinate execution and operational follow-through behind the scenes — the platform helps teams accelerate deals instead of losing momentum to missed actions, scattered follow-ups, and silent pipeline decay.

Because the best sales teams don't need more admin.

They need more time with customers.
